I've only washed mine once so far, but I can see this becoming a problem in the future. The pros:-The price-They look very nice right out of the package-They're very soft-The hand towel is larger-than-normal (big enough to wrap around my long hair)The cons:-They are not very absorbant (as previous reviewers have noted)-The heather was much more definitely purple than the pic on the site-The terry is not very strong; when the loops snag, they just get bigger and bigger.

I bought the sea blue set and its not as great as the picure looks. There are also loose threads hanging on the towels. Granted, I only paid $23 for the set, but in the future I'd spend a little more and get better towels. After the first wash these towels were "threading" and a bunch of its fluff stuck to the towels. I thought maybe if I washed it again it will get rid of the fluff, but not so.
They feel nice enough, and the price is hard to argue with. Still, if they hold up beyond that I'll consider them an excellent deal. I've only been using these for a couple weeks. The first time I washed them a lot of the color bled, so what was chocolate brown is now chocolate with orangey mottling.
It helps to follow the care instructions, otherwise of course they will lose their color and overall quality. These are great towels and if I had the storage room in my little apartment I would order more. Several reviewers have complained about the softness and absorbency of these towels. Wash them as though they were silk or other delicate fabrics.wash in warm (or even cold) water, and dry in LOW heat. I've recommended them to all my friends and family. I own two sets of these in both Harvest and Brick colors and they are absolutely fabulous. The colors are vibrant (better than expected), the towels are soft, thick and absorb water very well, and after a month of usage and very frequent washings they are holding up perfectly.
